Dermaflex is an excellent alternative to applying bandages to open wounds, especially on areas which are prone to flexing and moisture. The adhesive is sterile and contains a mixture of Octyl and Butyl cyanoacrylates which provide its flexibility and fast setting time. The highly viscous nature of the adhesive, coupled with the quick setting time, makes it a perfect choice for use in an emergency to quickly stop bleeding and promote the healing process. The flexible nature of Dermaflex also means it comes supplied with two different types of applicator; a nozzle and dauber top. The nozzle is primarily used to apply when cosmetics is being considered while the dauber top is often used for precise application to larger areas. Dermaflex has the added benefit of being solvent-free and purple in colour, providing excellent visibility of where its been applied.

How It Works
Easy to Apply and Designed to Seal.
As applied to skin, Derma+Flex® is syrup-like in viscosity and polymerizes quickly—usually in less than 60 seconds.
It is a sterile, topical adhesive blending 60% 2-octyl cyanoacrylate and 40% n-butyl cyanoacrylate into a formulation
providing the most desirable properties of each. The increased viscosity of Derma+Flex® is formulated to reduce
the risk of unintended placement of the adhesive during application due to migration of the liquid adhesive from the wound site.
New Fast Dry Applicator Tip
The Derma+Flex® new dual purpose applicator is designed for ease of application. Orient the tip down for broad, flat strokes.
Tilt the tip up for thin, precise application.

Directions For Use
Step 1:
To open Derma+Flex® High Viscosity Medical Tissue Adhesive, simply screw on the applicator tip just like screwing a nut
on a bolt until finger tight. While holding applicator tip in one hand in an upright position, finish twisting tube in a
clockwise motion untilapplicator is tight and seal is punctured (a purple dot will appear on applicator tip).
Derma+Flex®  has no glassampules to crush and squeeze, eliminating any chance of glass puncture to user.
Step 2:
While holding tube upright, away from the patient, prime the applicator tip bysqueezing tube from the
bottom and continue to flatten tube moving all adhesive to the top of the tube until the applicator is
coloured purple. Adhesive is now ready to be applied to skin.
Step 3:
While holding the flattened part of the tube, begin “painting” the area of the skin that requires adhesive in a back & forth motion,
covering the entire surface of the approximated skin edges as well as the area around the edges. This ensures a properseal
is formed to create a larger microbial and waterproof barrier, while also providing additional
closure strength.Take care not to apply adhesive too thickly as this will increase the cure time.
Step 4:
When applied correctly, Derma+Flex® will polymerize (dry) in less than 60 seconds. After Derma+Flex®
has fully polymerized (dried), a bandage may be applied to the area–but is not necessary
as the adhesive forms a microbial and waterproof barrier over the wound site.
